STILLWATER, Okla. (9/29/12) - The Mean Green cross-country teams took 10th place in the men's and women's races today at the Cowboy Jamboree.

Jo Adams led the women to a 10th place finish by finishing 11th individually with a time of 18:19.20. Kaitlyn Newton (19:53.72) finished 46th followed by Kylee Kittrell (20:41.19) at 62nd, Melissa Brito (20:48.85) at 64^th, Yvette Hernandez (20:52.17) at 65th and Laura Cortez at 66th.

Freshman Troy Taylor placed 38th, finishing the men's 8K in 26:11.97 in his first race for the Mean Green. Senior Matt Russ (26:22.69) finished just three spots behind Taylor at 41st.

Freshman Alex Hita (26:57.53) finished 62nd trailed by Bryce McAndrew (27:11.81) at 70th, Silvester Harrison (27:13.48) at 72nd, Kevin Webb (27:35.79) at 81st and Joel Flores (28:16.09) at 101st.

The Mean Green cross-country teams return to action October 13 at the Arkansas Chile Pepper Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
