We are excited about your interest in the University of North Texas and Mean Green soccer. The Mean Green has already established itself as a regional power, appearing in the NCAA Tournament in two of the last six years. In 15 seasons of play, North Texas has never had a losing season. NT has won two of the last six Sun Belt Conference Championships as well as three regular season titles and played in the conference championship in a league record eight times.

In 2009, the Mean Green won 11 games or more for the 15th straight season. John Hedlund was named conference coach of the year in 2005 after he led the Mean Green to its second conference championship and NCAA appearance.

Facilities
North Texas began playing in a new facility in 2006, the Mean Green Soccer Complex. Located in the Mean Green Village, the soccer team also received a new locker room, coaching offices and team meeting rooms.

In the Fall of 2005, the academic and compliance staff relocated to the Mean Green Village. Located on Bonnie Brae, the new Student-Athlete Development Center is three times the size of the former academic center. The Center serves as the cornerstone of the Mean Green Village and is only a short walk from the surrounding sports facilities.
