Ralston's Climbs Into The Top-10 After Day 1

BLANCO, Texas - A strong second round by McKenzie Ralston has her in the top-10 after two rounds of play to lead the North Texas women's golf team at the Jim West Challenge. Ralston shot a second round of 73, which was tied for the second lowest round of the day a ties her lowest round of the season.

North Texas as a team is in 10th place after the first two rounds of play, but the field is tightly packed after 36 holes of play. The Mean Green is just six strokes out of second place as nine teams are separated by six shots.

Ralston is tied for eighth place and the Mean Green has three players in the top-25 after the first two rounds. Chaslyn Chrismer is tied for 18th place and Georgina Mundy is tied for 25th place.

Ralston's second round featured four birdies as she bounced back from an opening round of 82. Ralston is seven shots off the lead heading into the final round with a two round score of 155.

Chrismer opened with an 81 through 18 holes but cut four shots off of her second round to shoot a 77. She had four birdies on the day. Mundy opened with an 83 but carded a second round of 79.

Keegan Moore is tied for 53rd place after 36 holes with a score of 173 and Taylor Kilponen is tied for 58th place, one shot behind Moore with a score of 174. Texas State holds a commanding team lead of 18 strokes over the nearest team after two rounds.
