DENTON, Texas – The North Texas volleyball team looks to keep the hottest start in school history going in its second home tournament of the year, the Mean Green Volleyball Classic.
North Texas is two-for-two in tournament play this season, taking the North Texas Invitational and the IUPUI Hampton Inn Invitational. Courtney Windham and Carnae Dillard have both earned tourney MVP honors.
As a team, North Texas leads the Sun Belt Conference in blocks with 2.66 per set, and Windham remains the top individual blocker with 1.37 per set. The 2.66 BPS would rank as the best mark by an NT team since 1988. Just last season, NT tallied just 1.29 BPS, which is the lowest blocks per set total on record at North Texas.
