DENTON, Texas - No. 58 North Texas tennis returns to action Tuesday afternoon when it plays host to cross-town rival UTA at the Waranch Tennis Complex.
The Mean Green (11-6) has not played since a loss at Wichita State on March 17.
North Texas is looking to continue its habit of getting out to an early lead. If the Mean Green take the doubles point against the Mavericks (10-7) it will be the fourth straight match that NT has jumped out to a 1-0 lead.
Valentina Starkova is looking to win her second singles match in as many contests after notching a victory against the Shockers last time out. The junior had dropped three-straight matches entering the match.
Joining Starkova in the win column against the Shockers was Barbora Vykydalova.
Vykydalova has won two straight matches for the Mean Green since being reinserted to the line-up at the No. 6 singles slot. The junior has tabbed a 4-1 record this season from the final singles spot.
The match with UTA is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. at the Waranch Tennis Complex. As always, admission to North Texas tennis is free of charge.
