DENTON, Texas - Mean Green tennis is set for a cross-town showdown with No. 44 TCU on Thursday at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Courts in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Fresh off a victory over No. 53 Kansas State, North Texas is looking for back-to-back ranked victories for the first time in program history.
"Our focus is on improvement and the types of programs we are playing are making us dig deep and bring out our best," said head coach Sujay Lama. "TCU is a perennial top 25 caliber program with rich history and tradition. We are looking forward to giving our best effort and seeing how it shakes out."
Senior Nadia Lee looks to continue her winning ways against the ranked Horned Frogs. Lee won all four of her matches on last weekend's trip, taking both doubles and singles from players from No. 32 Arkansas and No. 53 Kansas State.
"I was very impressed with Irina and the rest of the seniors in our last match and the way they led the team with their play and attitude," Lama added. "For us to accomplish the goals we have set, our upperclassmen have to step up like they did this past week."
The match with TCU is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Courts on the campus on Texas Christian Unviersity. Live results can be found through www.gofrogs.com
