No. 61 - Brandon Kennedy's Tackles-For-Loss
Brandon "Booger" Kennedy was the anchor of the defense for North Texas' first three Sun Belt titles from 2001-03, and set the North Texas record with 61 tackles-for-loss in his career.
Kennedy had a stellar 2002 season, finishing third in the nation with a North Texas-record 24 tackles for loss, ten more than anyone else in the Sun Belt. Kennedy also led the league with 10 sacks, as the Mean Green went on to win the New Orleans Bowl that year.
Kennedy followed up his 2002 with a 2003 season that featured 17 tackles-for-loss, tied for second at North Texas in a single season, and seven sacks. Kennedy was named to an All-Conference team each of his four years at North Texas.
After his time with the Mean Green, Kennedy was signed briefly by the Denver Broncos in 2004.
