DENTON, Texas - The Sun Belt Conference and ESPN have announced that three of North Texas' first four football games this fall will be televised on ESPN3.com. The season-opener at Florida International as well as the first two games in the brand new Mean Green Stadium versus Houston and Indiana will be carried to more than 70 million homes as part of package.
The Florida International game will begin at 6 p.m. CT. on Thursday, Sept. 1. The home-opener against Houston - the first game ever played in Mean Green Stadium - will also kick off at 6 p.m. CT on Sept. 10 as will the Sept. 24th Indiana game.
ESPN3.com is ESPN's live sports broadband network, giving fans a 24/7 online destination that delivers thousands of live sports events annually. It is available at no additional cost to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection/cable subscription from an affiliated service provider. It is available in over 70 million homes as well as approximately 21 million U.S. college students and U.S.-based military personnel via computers connected to on-campus educational networks and on-base military networks. In November 2010, ESPN3 launched on the Microsoft Xbox gaming console to a community of 25 million people via Xbox LIVE (Gold level membership). ESPN3 recently launched on Apple & Android tablet and mobile devices.
Additional games could be added to the ESPN family of networks as well as other networks. The Sun Belt Conference will release its Sun Belt Network Television package on July 18.
