DENTON, Texas (11/23/09)  -- Four high school seniors have signed National Letters of Intent to play softball at the University of North Texas for the 2010-11 season, announced head coach T.J. Hubbard on Monday.

"This is an exceptional group of signees for North Texas softball," said Hubbard. "We have added a solid group of young ladies; they are all accomplished softball players and students. All four signees will help contribute offensively throughout our lineup and give us depth in both the infield and outfield. The 2010 class is another great addition of young talent that will be expected to contribute immediately, and we are excited that we were able to add two more local DFW prospects."

Three of the four signees are from  the state of Texas, and two of the three Texas signees are from the DFW area. For the 2010-11 school year, the signing class includes the following players:  Jordan Terry (IF, Rowlett HS/Rowlett, TX); Kailee Carr (C, Richland HS/North Richland Hills, TX); Darian Blake (OF, Katy HS/Katy, TX) and Jackie Miller (OF, Sequoyah HS/Woodstock, GA). North Texas signed its first-ever student-athlete from Georgia.

Jordan Terry (SS)
Terry was named the District 10 5-A All-District Shortstop as a sophomore and junior. She lettered all four years in softball.  The infielder was a four-time honoree of the Garland I.S.D. Carr has played travel ball for Texas Xtreme Gold since 2005 and was a team captain every year since 2006. In 2009, the catcher led Texas Xtreme Gold with 34 runs scored. She was inducted into the National Honor Society.
