DENTON, Texas
(10/09/09) – North Texas Swimming & Diving will take to the pool for
the second time in as many days on Saturday as the Tulane Green Wave make the
trek to Denton, Texas, and the Pohl Recreation Center.
North Texas will be hoping to build off of experience gained
in both their intrasquad meet two weeks ago, as well as the North Texas Relays
Friday night.
“We will
dual a very strong Tulane squad on Saturday,” said head coach Joe Dykstra. “This is their
first season back after having been suspended after Hurricane Katrina and Coach
Guarriello has done a great job putting together a strong team.It should be a great meet and hopefully the
start of a great annual rivalry."
North Texas finished third at the North Texas relays Friday
night with 90 points while Tulane took fourth, racking up 60 points.
The meet, which is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., will be
the first dual match of the young 2009-10 season for the Mean Green.
