DENTON, Texas - The North Texas women's basketball team enters the 2013 Sun Belt Conference Championship as the No. 6 seed as the league released the seeding and schedule for the upcoming tournament in Hot Springs. The Mean Green faces off against Louisiana-Lafayette on Friday, March 8 at 2:30 p.m. at the Summit Arena.

North Texas finished in a tie with South Alabama, but held the tie breaker advantage over the Jaguars to earn the No. 6 seed. North Texas swept the season series with Louisiana-Lafayette, winning 72-59 at home and 64-46 on the road.

The Mean Green won 10 conference games this season, the most in a single season since 2001-02 and the second most since joining the Sun Belt.
