Cazaubon And Ortiz Capture Big Win In Break |

DENTON, Texas - It was an active and successful winter break for the No. 36 North Texas men's golf team as Carlos Ortiz and Rodolfo Cazaubon won the 2013 Copa de las Americas men's tournament playing for Mexico at the Doral Golf Club and Resort. Ortiz and Cazaubon playing together on Team Mexico, knocked off Team Canada and Team USA, which included the No. 1 ranked amateur player in the world, Chris Williams of Washington, and Steven Fox, the reigning U.S. Amateur champion. In addition, Jason Roets and Curtis Donahoe played in the Dixie Ameatur Dec. 18-21. Roets finished tied for eighth place while Donahoe finished in 11th place. Roets had an opening round of 67 while Donahoe shot a third-round of 66. |
