The UNT Police Department has finalized plans for closing specific campus parking lots on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 16, in preparation for the use of those lots for the Tuesday night North Texas football game at Apogee Stadium.

The impacted lots are at Victory Hall, the Mean Green Village on the west side of Bonnie Brae, and Fouts Field (see the map below or the UNT Campus Map). Electronic signs have already been posted at the affected parking areas, notifying drivers of the impending interruption in normal parking service.

The two lots at Victory Hall (Lots 80 and 81 on the campus map), the lots at the Mean Green Village on the west side of Bonnie Brae (Lots 71-77), and the Fouts Field parking lot (Lot 20) will be closed at 1 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. Only vehicles with a football game parking pass will be admitted after 1 p.m.

For Victory Hall lots 80 and 81, all vehicles without football-game parking passes must be removed from those lots by 1 p.m. on Tuesday or will be towed. Towing will begin after 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16.

For Mean Green Village lots 71-77 and Fouts Lot 20, vehicles with a valid UNT parking permit must be removed from the lot by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16. Vehicles without a valid UNT parking permit must be removed by 1 p.m. Towing of cars without a permit with begin at 1 p.m.

All lots will re-open for normal school traffic Wednesday morning.

Any displaced UNT parking-permit holders can use the Highland Street parking garage free of charge. To use the garage, pull a parking ticket as usual to raise the gate for entry. The exit gates will be open from noon Tuesday to noon Wednesday for free exits. Exits prior to noon Tuesday or after noon Wednesday will require payment.
