DENTON, Texas (7/30/12) - The North Texas softball team
has announced its fall 2012 schedule, which includes six home dates and a game
against the University of Oklahoma. The Mean Green plays a month-long fall
schedule in preparation for the spring season.
North Texas opens its fall season with a Saturday morning game against Texas
Woman's University at Pioneer Field in Denton, Texas on Oct. 13. On Sunday,
Oct. 14, the Mean Green travels to College Station for the second straight year
to play the Aggies and Sam Houston State.
North Texas hosts the Fall Festival the following
Saturday, Oct. 20, playing West Texas A&M and UTA.
On Wednesday, Oct. 24, the Mean Green hosts Oklahoma at
Lovelace Stadium at 6 p.m. The Sooners lost in the title game of the Women's College
World Series in May.
The Mean Green hosts its second day-long tournament on
Friday, Oct. 26. North Texas plays back-to-back games against North Central
Texas College and Western Oklahoma State. NT will play its annual alumni game
on Saturday, Oct. 27.
North Texas returns 12 letterwinners, including All-Sun Belt player Brooke
Foster for the 2012-13 season. All the Mean Green home games are played at
Lovelace Stadium on the campus of the University of North Texas.
