Final Sun Belt Football Media Day For North Texas At the Sun Belt Conference's pre-season football Media Day, held Monday in New Orleans, North Texas senior punter Will Atterberry and sophomore offensive lineman Cyril Lemon were named to the 2012 Preseason All-Sun Belt team. Atterberry was the leading punter in the Sun Belt Conference last season and while Lemon was the only true freshman offensive lineman in the nation to start all 12 games and receive all-conference honors. It's the final Sun Belt Media Day for the North Texas football program, as the Mean Green prepare for their season in the Sun Belt before departing for Conference USA in July, 2013. ESPN3 will televise Media Day beginning at 2 p.m. Send Your Questions To Coach Dan McCarney and Linebacker Zach Orr North Texas head fooball coach Dan McCarney and Mean Green junior linebacker Zach Orr are at Media Day. While they'll be answering questions from the press, they're also going to take time to answering questions from the Mean Green faithful. Send your questions to us via Facebook or Twitter. The fans' best questions will be put to Coach McCarney and Zach, and the best question of the day will earn free tickets to the season opener against Texas Southern. Sun Belt TV Games The conference announced its 2012 television schedule, and two North Texas games are slated to be broadcast. The Mean Green will be on national television on ESPN2 on Tuesday, October 16, at home against Lousiana-Lafayette. It will be the first nationally-televised game from Apogee Stadium. The October 6 game at Houston will also be shown on Charter Sports Southeast. That channel is not available in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
