DENTON, Texas - For the second straight year senior Jacey Chun and sophomore Chaslyn Chrismer have been named to the 2011-12 National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team. Chun and Chrismer were both named to the All-American Scholar team last season by the coaches association.

I am very proud of these two student-athletes," said head coach Jeff Mitchell. "They have been dedicated in the classroom and outstanding on the golf course.  It takes a tremendous amount of effort to produce in both arenas, and they have done so with pride and grace.  They are an example for all student-athletes."

Chun was named to the 2012 All-Sun Belt team for the second straight season, marking the first time a women's golfer has been named to the all-conference team in back-to-back seasons since Randi Gauthier in 2002 and 2003. Chun had the lowest stroke average for North Texas.

Chrismer was one of three players to compete in all 10 tournaments this season for North Texas and she notched two top-25 finishes.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent of all college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II & III) of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
