A four-year starter for Oklahoma in the outfield from 2000-03, Evans was a part of four World Series appearances with the Sooners, including the national championship team in 2000. She was named to the NCAA All-Region Team in 2000 and 2001 and was named the NCAA Regional Most Outstanding Player in 2001.

In the OU career records book, Evans is ranked sixth in games played (254), seventh in at-bats (728) and runs scored (135), seventh in hits (236) and sixth in triples (11). Following her career, she was named to the Big XII 10th Anniversary Team spanning from 1996-2006.
