NT Men Draw Cajuns In SBC Opening Round Again |

DENTON, Texas – Last year, Brandan Walton splashed home a near-buzzer beating 3-pointer to give North Texas an upset win over Louisiana-Lafayette in the opening round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. The Mean Green won’t have the services of Walton this time, but they will get another crack at the Ragin’ Cajuns in Friday’s opening round game in Hot Springs at 6:30 p.m. The game will be carried on the Mean Green Radio Network and via webcast on SunBeltSports.org. For a second straight year the Ragin’ Cajuns had NT’s number in the regular season. ULL has taken both regular season matchups with the Mean Green in each of the last two seasons. The Cajuns will enter the tournament as the No. 8 seed and the Mean Green will be No. 9. The winner of Friday’s game will draw No. 1 Middle Tennessee in the second round on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. That game will be televised on the Sun Belt Network.
