Rossum Finishes 25th in 100-M Breast

MONTREAL, Canada- Out of 102 swimmers competing for a spot in the 100-meter breast on the 2012 Canadian Olympic swim team, Krista Rossum finished 25th in 1:12:52.

In each race, the top eight swimmers make the "A" final and nine through 18 make the "B" final.

Rossum missed the cutoff (18th place, 1:11.83) by 0.69 seconds and finished 4.73 seconds behind the winning time of 1:07.79.

She entered into the race after swimming a personal-best 1:10.60 in the 100-meter breast at the 2011 Canadian Junior Nationals.

Krista Rossum has two events left to earn a spot on the Canadian national team. She'll race tomorrow in the 200-meter IM which can be followed live here or streamed here.
